- Summary:
-
This report explores the feasibility of physically and educationally updating 31 of San Francisco's vintage schools by studying three of them in depth and applying the concepts and unit costs thereby developed to the remaining 28. Diagrammatic layouts and photographs accompany the facility analyses. The approaches to updating suggested in the three in-depth studies are intended to be broad enough to be applied to the other 28 schools, with flexibility and adaptability replacing inhibiting rigidity.
