- Summary:
-
Private schools, which educate about 11 percent of all pupils, provide educational diversity and competition with the public schools. The results often take the forms of educational innovation and progress. Because mounting costs of teacher salaries, educational materials, and teaching aids are currently putting pressure on private school finance, further support from government, communities, industry, business, and endowments is drastically needed.
