Within the next decade, computer-assisted instructional English teacher education programs will be available in the following areas: (1) eliciting textual response to literature, (2) grammar, usage, and spelling, (3) composition skills to career-oriented youths. CAI programs for teachers of English are now being developed at The Pennsylvania State University in (1) bilingual education and (2) teaching literacy skills to career-oriented youths.
