Focusing on just a few of the most rapidly changing aspects which stand out as having been of major significance, topics which are discussed include governmental intervention and support, the impact of the learning disabilities movement, the difficulties of defining reading disability, developments in the causation of reading disabilities, diagnostic and prescriptive reading instruction, and the early detection of potential disabilities.
