The report of the 14th annual meeting of the Council of Graduate Schools presents a seminar on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Board by Lorene I. Rogers, Lincoln E. Moses, Warren W. Willingham, and Herman A. Witkin. The task force on Biomedical Sciences report is presented by Jerold Roschwalb, Lyle V. Jones, Robert H. Grant, and Penny D. Foster. James R. Ritterskamp, Jr. and Willard H. Pedrick discuss legal problems. The involvement of Graduate schools with extension degrees and external degree programs is handled by John B. Ervin, and Cyril O. Houle. An updated view of the academic labor market projections is presented by Allan M. Cartter. Internal and external review of graduate programs is discussed by Frank E. Horton, E. Phillip Bollier, John R. C. Morton, James M. Forman, and Albert H. Berrian. The workshops include the Chicano and graduate education conducted by Rudolph O. de la Garza, and Juan R. Martinez; the administration of graduate programs at institutions without the doctorate conducted by J. Alan Ross, Lawrence H. Rice and James J. Cowgill; administration of professional graduate degree programs by Robert M. Bock, Gail P. Fullerton, and Elmer R. Gooding; graduate schools in the urban environment by Herwig G. Zauchenberger; administration for new graduate deans by George W. Kunze and George E. Hay; master's degrees at non-doctorate institutions by Dale R. Comstock, Lon W. Weber, and Albert H. Yee; and transfer and equivalency graduate credit by David S. Sparks, Charles A. Leone, and Charley Scott. (JMF)
