- Summary:

Volume IV, Part B of a six-volume final report (which covers the findings of a research project on policy and technology related to rehabilitation of disabled individuals) presents a continuation of papers (Part A) giving an overview of project methodology, much of the data used in projecting consequences and policymaking impacts in project analysis, and insight into techniques used to determine exogenous factors such as the attitudes of persons influenced by research technology. Project paper 5 contains abstracts of contract papers in exogenous factors and rehabilitation technology. Presented in paper 6 is rehabilitation-oriented data describing economic, population, and other variables operating both internal to and external to rehabilitation. A seventh paper covers some of the attitudinal elements which enter into the operation of rehabilitation within society. A final paper considers the basic operation of the computer-supported handling effort of technology assessment carried out during and subsequent to the work-session conference. Appended materials include a catalog of potential consequence variables, a description and comparison of methodologies for quick fabrication of behavioral models, and statistical and simulation models for cost/benefit analysis.
