The directory is intended to provide a selection of resources addressing major areas of interest in postsecondary education for the handicapped. General resources, such as the American Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities, are listed and briefly summarized, followed by resources specific to the following disabilities: cross-functional disabilities, deaf-blind, hearing impairments, learning disabilities, mobility impairments, and vision impairments. Subsequent sections focus on nine areas: (1) architectural accessibility, (2) program accessibility, (3) career preparation, (4) employment, (5) technological devices, (6) independent living, (7) legal resources, (8) directories, and (9) toll-free telephone services.
