Summary

This package consists of two bilingual instructional booklets for use in helping Indochinese refugees learn basic gardening skills. Included in the package are Cambodian, Vietnamese, and English translations of instructions for raising herbs indoors and Cambodian and English translations of guidelines for container gardening. The herb booklet outlines transplanting techniques and describes a suggested planting mix. Discussed in the booklet on container gardening are such topics as containers, a container mix, vegetable varieties, timing, light requirements, succession planting, transplants, container preparation, fertilizers, mulches, cultivation and weeding, wind protection, fruit crops, herbs and seasonings, and pest control.
