The 63 books and journal articles listed in this bibliography address the problem of intracultural communication. A short introduction to the bibliography defines intracultural communication as the creation and sharing of meaning among citizens of the same geo-political system who come from various tributary cultures (groups distinguishable from mainstream culture on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic level age, and/or ableness). Citations range in date of publication from 1981 to 1990 and are organized under the following headings: (1) gender; (2) race and ethnicity; (3) poverty; and (4) intracultural-intraethnic-interracial relations.
