The first section lists national associations, organizations, clearinghouses, federal government agencies, and centers based in the seven-state region. The remainder of the directory lists organizations by state. Listings include federally recognized tribes; state-government and private agencies; American Indian centers; post-secondary institutions and related organizations; Bureau of Indian Affairs and church-supported elementary and secondary schools; media and libraries; and museums, monuments, and parks. Most entries include address, contact person, and a brief description of the organization's objectives and services. (LP)
