Geoffrey Mould, born in 1934, discusses his parents, siblings and family background; his childhood in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales; his family moving to Newcastle (1942); his schooling; his early interest in sports; moving to Sydney; joining local surf clubs; studying painting at East Sydney Technical College (1952); receiving a Teacher's Scholarship to the University of Sydney; receiving his Diploma of Education and Masters of Arts; various early teaching appointments; marriage and children; moving to Mullumbimby and then back to Sydney; the social culture of the N.S.W. North Coast at that time; working as a book salesman; working as a Physical Education teacher; working for Combined High Schools (C.H.S.) sports organisations; his role in establishing baseball in schools.
Mould discusses his work as a school rugby coach; various school rugby teams that he coached; international school competitions that he was involved in; students of his who later became professional rugby players; his coaching methods and techniques; becoming a High School Principal; being appointment to Dartmouth College, U.S.; coaching rugby in Colorado; running rugby clinics throughout the U.S.; beginning his painting career; living in New York City; coaching rugby in England, New Zealand and Ireland; coaching the Australian Under 21 Team (early 1990s); his current work teaching painting in Sawtell, N.S.W.; his paintings and exhibitions; coaching the Coffs Harbour Rugby Team; his views in regard to life and society in Australia today; his love of the beach.
