Madge Eddy begins by providing brief biographical information about her husband Harry Eddy (1913-73), then she talks about the reasons behind his decision to discontinue studying for the Anglican Ministry. She then talks about meeting him at Teachers' College; marriage and their respective teaching postings. Eddy then discusses the Andersonians, in particular, her husband's friend Frank Fowler and the discussion group that they formed to study history from a Marxist point of view. She also considers the impact of WWII; importance of WEA (Workers Educational Association of New South Wales) to both her husband and herself; her husband's involvement with the Orr case and the intellectual influence exerted by her husband. Eddy also discusses some of her husband's writings which were mainly for "Australasian journal of philosophy" and "Australian highway".
