Summary

The upper half features several black and white illustrations interspersed with text which depict cave men cooking over a fire, firemen on a ladder rescuing an unconscious child, and a horse-drawn fire cart racing toward a house fire. The lower half features illustrations in the style of a cartoon strip which depict what to do in the event of a fire at the left, and scenarios that cause fires to the right, which include smoking in bed and leaving a stove unattended.
