This document presents 10 student affairs programs selected by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators as being exemplary programs in their field. The programs address a broad range of objectives, including preparing students to become effective leaders; helping students combine work and academics; involving students more extensively in campus life; creating a more open campus environment; giving students a residential college experience as well as the support of a community college; and raising funds for student affairs programming. The 10 programs include (1) "Student Life Fund Development Program" (University of Arizona); (2) "The Institute for Collaborative Learning" (Fitchburg State College and Mount Wachusett Community College); (3) "Involved" (Ithaca College); (4) "Student Employment Training Program" (University of Maryland-College Park); (5) "Undergraduate Leadership Minor" (University of Minnesota-Twin Cities); (6) "The Wackerle 4-Year Intentional Career and Leadership Development Program" (Monmouth College); (7) "Women Involved in Living and Learning (WILL) Program (University of Richmond); (8) "Center for Student Businesses" (University of Massachusetts-Amherst);(9) "Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, and Transgender Training Series" (University of Nevada-Las Vegas); and (10) "BlueCD 2000" (Western Washington University).
