Lawrence; his opinion of Patrick White; his work in the fields of art criticism and biography, Greco-Roman literature; concept of alienation; Marxist philosophy; the conflict between individual and society; alienation among Australian artists; the development of Australian culture; the influence of Blake on his life; plans for future work; his house and land; his connection to Australia; relationships with Dylan Thomas and Edith Sitwell; reads a poem he wrote in dedication to Fitzgerald (published as a dedication in a translation of Greek poetry); reads a poem that he wrote after the death of Gordon Child (published as a dedication in one of his histories); poem called 'In the Night of Warsaw' written to Bert Albrecht.

Lindsay was the eldest son of Norman Lindsay and author of over 150 books, including translations, novels, biography, politics and philosophy. He lived in England from 1926 until his death.
