Garry Booth, discusses his family life and background; his interest in folk music, sparked by fellow amateur naturalist; learnt the guitar; Moreton Bay Bushwackers; Queensland Folk Lore Society; 1961 began playing 4 string guitar; Pete Seeger; Folk Centre setup; TV series on ABC; 1960's folk scene; 1970's meeting Paul Stookie of 'Peter, Paul and Mary', 'The Seekers', 'New Lost City Rambler's'; move to Sydney (1969); his first family, breakup of marriage; 'The Settlers' in Mulgoa; Eddie Penzig; Gordon Piper; 'Halfway House'; working as a psychiatric nurse; 'The Back of Bourke' near Base Hill; 'The Royal Oak'; 'The Vinegar Hill Woolshed'; John Laws; busking, dishwashing; North Rocks Deaf and Blind Children's Centre; his wife, being a quadraplegic, her death (1997), their son; Royal Blind Society; his Nurses degree; marrying Cathie (2003); Chris Kempster; his heart attack, surgery; 2000 opened 'Whistle Stop' cafe at Thirlmere, closed 2008; still singing in Bowral at 'The Grand Hotel', 'The Scottish Arms Tavern'; his CD; Bill Scott; John Meredith; John Manifold.
