- Plaster cast of life-mask. Originally thought to be a death-mask (c. 1827). Viennese sculptor Franz Klein (c. 1779–1837) made the original cast in 1812, and this was reassembled after being broken and used to make additional copies. This copy was the model for Parisian painter Michel Katzaroff’s 36 scenes in the life of Beethoven. In 1952, Katzaroff gave the mask to Eve Hungerford, a Sydney violinist, composer and teacher.
- File P21/5/907 ; presented by B.E. Hungerford, 1977.
