Muk Muk Fine Art will host solo exhibitions for emerging Sydney based pop artist Johnny Romeo. This is the first time Romeo has exhibited in the Northern Territory and marks the beginning of an exciting exhibition calendar for Muk Muk Fine Art. For Romeo the aim of this exhibition ‘Cop Killer’ is to question the popular romanticised view of Ned Kelly. Ned Kelly today remains one of the most prominent and fascinating fixtures of the Australian psyche. From outlaw and lone bushranger, to Aussie battler and courageous folk hero, the symbol of Ned Kelly continues to be revered, and means many things to many people.
