Colour lithographic poster issued to commemorate the centenary of International Women’s Day (IWD) which was first held in March 1911. This global day celebrates the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future and is an indelible channel through which to promote positive change and raise awareness of the issues women face in their everyday lives. The twelve poster images are black and white snapshots of women involved in various activities during the past 100 years. Each is defined by photographic corners attaching them to the dark purple two toned background.
