Jack Lang, the former Premier of N.S.W. was born in Sydney and became interested in politics at an early age. He was elected to the N.S.W. Parliament, became Treasurer and later the Premier. On 13 May 1932 he was dismissed as Premier by the Governor of N.S.W., Sir Philip Game. Lang speaks about his early childhood; his career in the Labour movement; his activities in Parliament; public works he initiated in Sydney; he recalls anecdotes about people and incidents; Dr. Bradfield and the Bradfield plan; the downfall of the Scullin Government.
