MS Acc13.090 comprises a collection of 43 letters and postcards from Dorothy Hewett together with one letter from Merv Lilley (Dorothy Hewett's husband) to Bill and Janet Grono between October 1970 and September 1983 (1 packet).

William (Bill) Grono was born at Cottesloe, Western Australia, in 1934. He was educated at Perth schools, the University of Western Australia and Syracuse University in upstate New York. He has edited a number of anthologies including Breakaway and Wide Domain, the latter comprising a collection of Western Australian themes and images. A close friend of Dorothy Hewett and Randolph Stow, Grono's anthology Margins: A West Coast Selection of Poetry, published by Fremantle Arts Centre Press, provides a comprehensive account of works by West Australian poets from 1829 to 1988.
