Gabor Morley, born 1924, in Budapest, Hungary, talks about his birth details and early schooling; his training in acrobatics and in performance arts; his graduation in 1941 as an actor; his language skills; his arrest on the outbreak of war; working in Bulgaria; entertaining his German captors; escaping to and living in Italy; joining the British Army in Egypt; Kenya; Senegal; Danny Kay; King Farouk; migrating to Australia; his arrival in 1949; meeting Bert Newton in Melbourne; working in Sydney clubs; his card tricks and acrobatics; working preferences; Captain Cook Cruises; working in the U.S.A.; Las Vegas; how he works to develop his tricks. Alex and Annette Hood tell of an act and reactions to it. Morley continues to describe his performances; Variety Club. Morley talks of the loneliness 'on the road'; his wife and daughter and his granddaughter; helping Mic Conway with his act. Alex and Annette Hood describe Mic Conway's performances to Gabor. Morley tells of working with Simon and Garfunkel; working in different venues; advertisements for W.D. and H.O. Wills, and Cadbury; filming in New Zealand; Times Square Ad.

Gabor Morley was born in Budepest, Hungary and had early training as an acrobat and later as a magician, musician and illusionist. During WWII he was captured by the Nazi's and subsequently escaped due to his expertise as a magician and musician. He eventually arrived in Australia and became 'The Great Gabor' performing around Australia and overseas. He was a mentor to Mic Conway, of The Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band.
