A.A.W. Onslow served in the survey vessel Herald 1857-1861, entered New South Wales Legislative Assembly in 1869 and the Legislative Council in 1880. In 1867 he married Elizabeth Macarthur, only child of James Macarthur and their descendants were known as Macarthur-Onslow.
