From artists website: This is a nostalgic and romantisized mock up of a vintage poster of Canberra.This image is just one in a series of prints which starts with 1913 and follows each decade through to 2013.
Features a yellow boarded panorama style picture of people in 1900’s formal attire attending a ceremonial sod digging/turning or the laying of a foundation stone for Canberra in 1913. At the bottom of the poster boarder are two people, a man and women also in formal attire, standing out of frame celebrating the moment.
