Colour lithographic poster advertising an exhibition of costumes used by the Ballet Russes. This exhibition of costumes from the National Gallery of Australia collection marks the centenary of the Ballets Russes, the company that revolutionised the world of dance and stage design during the tumultuous decades of the early 20th century. Driven by the vision of its founder, Serge Diaghilev, the work of its accomplished designers and artists, choreographers, dancers and composers generated excitement, critical discussion, technical innovation and glamour wherever it appeared. The exhibition ran from 10 December 2010 till 20 March 2011. On the front of the poster is an image of a costume, in blue and gold. The background is black with white and gold text.
On the back of the poster is a list of events associated with the exhibition as well as the location and ticketing information and list of partners and sponsors.
