Summary

Poem celebrating the arrival of the Galatea carrying Prince Alfred, the Duke of Edinburgh, during the 1868 Royal Tour of Australia. The first of two stanzas reads: "See, see the gallant, gallant ship, she rides all the waves— / Every storm she braves— / She carries on board my hope and joy, / My lovely gallant sailor boy."
