- Biography/History:

Grace Palotta was born in Vienna, Austria in 1870. She became a performer with London’s Gaiety Theatre Company and travelled to Australia in 1895. She also toured with other theatre companies and was a popular actress in both the United Kingdom and the United States. She visited Australia five times between 1895 and 1918, and settled in Melbourne when she retired from the stage in 1915. She returned to Europe after the First World War and died in London in 1959.
