Summary

Advertisement for the Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs' publically available "Discovering democracy" education programme. The title appears in white text inside a blue text box at the head of the poster, to the right of which is an Australian national flag that has been morphed into the shape of Australia. Down the left hand side are multiple images: (black and white image of) Prime Minister Edmund Barton; partial image of a columned building on which "Australia" can be seen; children in a school setting; the front of Parliament House, Canberra. These images are repeated on the background of the poster with various colour washes. "Which country was the first to introduce the secret ballot? What are we doing with our democratic heritage" appears inside an orange text block on the right hand side of the poster, along with a blurb about the education program and contact phone number. The Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs logo appears in the bottom left corner, with "DETYA No. 6265 CEDS99A" below.
