- Summary:
-
An artist's book that speaks directly to each of its readers in the second person about the attractions of the handmade book - paper, ink, and especially touch - in order to acknowledge the intimate rapport between the book and its reader and the sensual consolations offered by what can only ever be a temporary physical encounter. A delicate embossed "vein" runs across the book pages, which the reader is invited to touch, caress, fondle and stroke. Reflecting the nature of this tactile interaction, the book comes in a plain brown wrapper, with a decorative string tie and concealed magnetic strip closure. Hand set in Park Avenue 18 point type, printed on Magnani Velata Avorio paper.
