Seidler considers the impact that he has had on Australian architecture; reactions to modern architecture today and future developments in architecture. He then compares the building industry of today with that of the nineteenth century; need for discernment in the preservation of older buildings; problems with building behind original front of building and his work on the Westpac building. Seidler then discusses the use of glass in buildings; decline in housing standards since WWI and housing in Sydney. He then describes the processes involved in designing, constructing and costing a building. Seidler then looks at open planning in offices and gives his views on the proposed Parliament House and on the layout of Canberra.
