Summary

An Australian parlour game comprising the story of Samuel Slumpkins and his friends who travel from Wattle Gully to Melbourne. Throughout the narrative are left blank words that the "indefinite number of plyers" fill in from cards that they hold. An ephemeral piece of popular printed Australiana containing some social interest seen in the story line and in the idiomatic usages of a distinctively Australian vocabulary evidenced in the narrative and in the word and phrase cards ( 68 pink, 66 blue cards).
