- This oral and electronic history project focuses on the history of selected areas of the mallee lands found in the four southern mainland states of Australia. This project explores changing land uses in these regions from about 1830 until present, including pastoralism, farming and other uses. It traces how people have shaped the environment, how the mallee in turn has shaped settlement, and the relationships that developed between people and nature.
- These interviews are part of a joint oral history project being conducted by the National Library of Australia and La Trobe University.
- Interviews conducted by Professor Katie Holmes, Karen Twigg and Dr Ruth Ford.
