Colin Steep, born 1925, Long Flat, N.S.W. Steep speaks about his early life on a dairy farm at Kindee, N.S.W. In 1946, he joined the Anglican Church and trained as an evangelist. He talks about his evangelical mission work at Tingha, N.S.W. and his appointment as the Warden of St Mary's Hostel, Alice Springs. Steep discusses the living conditions at the Hostel and the children living there from 1956 to 1959. He also expresses his views on the policy of assimilation.
