William 'Bill' Dixon was an Olympic rower. He competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games in the men's Double Sculls with Herb Turner. He also rowed for St Joseph's College Sydney, Sydney Rowing Club, as well as competing overseas at the Henley on Thames Rowing Regatta. Bill Dixon served with the 2/5 Field Regiment of the Australian Army during the Second World War.
