Six woodblocks have both sides carved. One woodblock has just one side carved. In total, 13 woodblock surfaces are to be used to create one woodblock image here.

The wood used for this woodblock set is Cerasus jamasakura, named 'Yamazakura' in Japan.

The woodblocks were created to reproduce the famous woodblock print image, originally created by Sharaku.
