The prefatory Notice is signed E. H., i.e. Ernest Hawkins, secretary of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel.

"The special object of this Atlas is to show the almost boundless field of labour which lies before our Church, and to mark the progress of her Missions."--[prefatory] Notice.

"In the present Edition three new Maps have been given:- 1. The Diocese of Colombo (Ceylon). 2. The District of Tinnevelly (Madras). 3. The Grazing districts of Australia."--[prefatory] Notice.

"Sold at the Depository, 77, Great Queen Street, Lincoln's Inn Fields; by Messrs. Rivington, St. Paul's Church Yard, and Waterloo Place, and by all booksellers".

Includes 4 p. 'Index to missionary stations', the last page of which also includes a short index titled 'Map of missions near Calcutta'.
