Inscriptions: "This view was taken on occasion of the Opening of Prince's Bridge in the City of Melbourne, by his C.J. La Trobe November 15th 1850 one of the 3 days rejoicing on intelligence being received of the Royal Assent to the Australian Colonies Constitution Act which conferred on the province of Port Phillip the long desired boon of seperation from New South Wales -& is respectfully inscribed to the colonist of Victoria, by their obedient servant Thomas Ham "--Printed below image.
