-
"The drawings in this book all came out of a game I like to play during the 55 minute train ride between my house and my studio. The rules of the game are pretty simple; if the person I’m drawing gets off the train, if they change position, if they notice me or if someone stands in front of them, then that’s where the drawing ends and I’m not allowed to make another mark on the page. (This is why some of the drawings are missing an arm or a leg, and also why some of the drawings are only an arm and a leg). After the drawing is finished I show it to the person and if they like it I send them a copy."—Introduction.
