Prime is a one-shot based on the series of fan fiction stories written by Dwight Decker. In the stories, Dwight created a host of comic book and science fiction fans and involved them in a number of adventures which could only happen to fans. The series was called Prime Movers, in that most of the characters were members of an apa called Prime. Prime was based on CAPA-alpha and Dwight's experiences in the apa. All of the Prime Movers stories have appeared in Dwight's fanzine, True Fan Adventure Theatre, as well as issues of CAPA-alpha. This actual issue of Prime was designed as a practical joke to fool Dwight, and was chiefly organised by Gary Brown, who used the name MacNair Ripfield as a cover. Enough copies were produced to distribute one to each contributor, and 60 for the readership of CAPA-alpha.
