- Biography/History:

Lance Fairfax (1899-1974) was a New Zealand born baritone who performed regularly in Australia during the 1920s. The Arabian horse, Czar, was owned by Mrs. F.M. Gallagher (nee Eva Dunneen) of Randwick, N.S.W., and was a prize winning show horse who was often ridden in charity events. He died in November 1931 at the age of 43.
