Aeroplanes; motor vehicles; Brisbane flyover, Queensland; glides; Wicko aeroplanes; family and friends; Wicko aeroplanes in production; 65 colour cigarette cards depicting historical aircrafts and aviators. Album 4. 1934-1945. England and Australia; aeroplanes; airfields; family and friends; motor vehicles; picnics; Vickers Supermarine Walrus amphibious biplane, Type L36; Stonehenge; Sydney; his home at Romsley, England; aircraft manufacturing; Royal Parade; a drawn caricature of him in uniform; his time at the Air Transport Auxiliary; the first Battle of Britain Parade. Album 5. 1946. His flight between England and Australia on a modified Halifax bomber, 'Waltzing Matilda', with his wife, son and daughter, and 20 passengers; 1950's. Family and friends; establishing and running the caravan park, Halifax Park, at Port Stephens, New South Wales, between 1946 and 1959.

Aviator and aircraft engineer. Born Grafton, NSW. Designer of the Wicko monoplane and the first British aircraft to be powered by a car engine. During World War II he joined the Air Transport Auxiliary. Captain Wikner bought a Halifax bomber, 'Waltzing Matilda', to fly him, his wife and two children to Australia in June, 1946. He took 20 passengers with him to share the costs. It was the first flight of a private aircraft between England and Australia after World War II and the first to carry flying migrants to Australia.
