Coloured illustrated book for children telling the story of a little boy whose father has written from Australia describing farming life there where he, his sister and an aunt have emigrated. The story ends with the little boy and his mother preparing to leave to join them. Extensive comment on treatment of Aboriginal Australians, parrots cooked for pies.
