- The government station at Bwagaoia on Misima Island Papua. Taken from a small plane sent by Admiral Custance from his flagship - HMAS Canberra, anchored in the Louisiade Archipelago, with two Lieut. Commanders to call on Mr Rentoul then Resident Magistrate in charge of the South Eastern [?]. The Battle of the Coral Sea was fought in these waters.--Information from donor on reverse.
