Summary

Includes a Spanish manuscript on the Spice Islands (1569); the letterbook of Captain William Keeling of the East India Company (1615-17); the logs of two Spanish galleons on voyages from Manila to Acapulco in the 17th century; letter of appointment of Anthony Van Diemen as Commander of the Fleet in the East Indies (1632); and a Dutch manuscript on the trade of Java 1737-41).
