Title from caption.

Inscription: "Eagle's Nest, Wairakei 386"--On image lower left.

"The Eagle's Nest is a beautiful geyser cone about twelve feet in diameter, and rising four or five feet from the ground. It is formed of long sticks, built up like an eagle's nest, encrusted and cemented together by snow-white sinter. An intermittent geyser sends up a feathery fountain at irregular intervals, the deposit, upon evaporation, frosting the sticks which have been laid across the basin"--Online research.
