The sugoroku sheed depicts 15 famous figures in Japanese history such as emperor, empress, samurai lords, court nobles and poets. Brief texts acoompanies each image, explaining about who he / she was. Starting with Jingū Kōgō, the empress who ruled 'Japan' beginning in the year 201. The sugoroku ends with Nintoku Tennō, who is conventionally considered to have reigned from 313 to 399. The other figures are from later periods.
