One of the greatest ballets of all time, Swan Lake is generally presented in either three or four acts and conveys the theme of good versus evil. Since the original 1877 production, Swan Lake has been re-staged and re-choreographed for companies around the world, often using Marius Petipa and LevIvanov's 1895 production as the basis. Production Notes for the Classroom are created to provide teachers with short, concise and pertinent contextual information about Queensland Ballet's Productions, complementing a school's visit to the theatre.
