Biography/History

Entered the N.S.W. Parliament as the Member for East Sydney in 1880. Premier of N.S.W., 1894-1899. Entered the Parliament in 1901 as leader of the Opposition. Prime Minister 1904-1905. Retired from Australian politics in 1908.
