Kath and Len Shillam discuss their early life, parents and schooling; Kath's father's work in commercial art; enrolment at Art School where they met; fellow pupils; decision to become sculptors; Len's Carnegie Scholarship to London for 2 years; Len's time in London, 1938-39, which was cut short by World War II; work as a chicken farmer; Will Smith; works in public places and collections; exhibitions and competitions; Len's public commissions; casting technique used on Queensland Art Gallery Cultural Centre commission; Len's teaching work at Brisbane College of Art; trip to Europe and Britain in the early 1960s; Society of Sculptors in Brisbane; their home life and Kath's work in public collections.
