Also includes correspondence and accounts with various Indian merchants; personal correspondence; vouchers; "Report of the Select Committee on the Proposed Overland Route to Port Essington", Oct. 1843; and letters to Miss (Eliza) Donnithorne, 1814-1864.

James Donnithorne (d. 1852), merchant, retired to Sydney ca. 1836 where he joined many public movements and invested in real estate in N.S.W. and Victoria.
